The person on the door plate

A Waldorf bookkeeping practice with one name on the door

Guirian Bookkeeping Services is owned and run by Amy Guiriansoro. When a business hands over its books and its payroll, this page is who it is handing them to.

The practice, in its own words

Locally owned, kept virtually

Guirian Bookkeeping Services describes itself as “a locally owned and operated company based in Waldorf, Maryland” offering “professional and personalized virtual bookkeeping and financial consultation.” In plain terms: the work is done online, the practice is rooted in Southern Maryland, and the owner is the name on the door.

The full list of what is kept, from monthly books to payroll, is on the services page.

Why it was founded

To keep small businesses organized and compliant

The practice was founded, in its own words, “to help small businesses stay organized, compliant.” The introduction it gives itself goes a step further: “Backed by extensive experience in business accounting and payroll, we provide accurate, compliant financial support along with clear insights that help you make smarter business decisions.”

That second half matters as much as the first. A set of books is only useful if the owner can read it and decide something from it, which is what the practice means by clear insights that help you make smarter business decisions.

Amy’s story

From a 2013 move to her own practice

Amy Guiriansoro relocated to the United States with her family in 2013 and joined Marriott International the following year. She is now the business owner behind Guirian Bookkeeping Services, and an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payroll.

That certification is the credential on the door. It speaks to the two programs where a small business’s books and payroll actually live, and it is the reason the file you get back is built the way QuickBooks expects it to be built.

How working together goes

Virtual, by appointment

The work is done remotely, so it reaches clients in Waldorf, White Plains, Washington DC, Bethesda and Silver Spring without anyone travelling. The first step is a bookkeeping and payroll consultation meeting, booked by appointment, where the state of your books and your payroll gets looked at before anything is promised.
